Matt Switzer became the director of technology in July, 2006 after joining the staff as an assistant to the director in January, 2006.

Switzer has worked in welding, diesel mechanics, and carpentry industries before studying electronic engineering in Reading, Pennsylvania, and gaining his certification in Telecommunications technology and PBX programming in San Francisco, California, and studied computer science in Austin, Texas and Altus.

A native of Pennsylvania, Matt and his family moved to Olustee in May, 1991. He and his wife Kim owned and operated a Zenith dealership n Altus from 1991 until 1995 when he accepted a position at North Texas State Hospital in Vernon as telecommunications specialist. In 2000, Switzer was promoted to network administrator of Statewide Information Services in Austin.

After Serving the State of Texas for 10 years, Switzer left Statewide Information Services to accept an I.T. Specialist position with Jackson County Memorial Hospital while also serving as network administrator with the Olustee School District.
