Description

Teacher Prep students will receive theory in each phase of education. Students will learn and practice effective classroom management strategies while preparing for a college degree in the field of education. Students will become familiar with current issues within the classroom and utilize current technologies routinely used in the educational setting. While earning 3 high school credits, students will gain experience through school and college visits as well as participate in an internship program. 

In this comprehensive 525 hour program, you will explore the education profession, while preparing for college. This one year program can be taken by high school Juniors and Seniors.

High School Juniors & Seniors: 

Starts August. 13

Attend 1 of 2 sessions

8-11am or 12-3pm

Application Process

High School Students: Applications can be obtained in the counseling offices of your local high school and returned to your high school counselor.

Employment Opportunities

SWTC builds partnerships with business and industry in the southwest Oklahoma area to find opportunities for work-based experiences and student placement. Successful graduates can find employment in an educational entity, or continue education at the collegiate level.
