Southwest Tech has been recognized as a sixth year recipient of the Gold Star award through the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technical Education OkACTE. This award is designed to recognize technology center districts that have met rigid and demanding criteria demonstrating a high level of excellence. Providing recognition to districts with exemplary programs designed to meet a broad spectrum of community needs.
Southwest Tech met all qualifications on program standards, student services, communications and marketing, sending school relationships, professional activities, business and industry services, and special initiatives.
“To be selected as a sixth year Gold Star school is a direct reflection of the amazing staff, proactive leadership, and continuous support from the SW Tech Board of Education”, said Superintendent/CEO Dale Latham. “We are continuously striving to be better each year and provide educational and business services to the communities we serve.”
