Southwest Technology Center is proud to announce Harley Snapp and Sienna Gristina as the 2025 Students of the Year. Each year, the Students of the Year are selected from among the previous Students of the Quarter and are voted on by the full faculty and staff. The recipients represent the highest level of achievement, leadership, and character demonstrated throughout the school year.
Harley Snapp, a standout student in the Teacher Prep program, was selected as the 2025 AM Student of the Year. Harley exemplifies what it means to be a well-rounded and dedicated student. Known for setting high standards and consistently working hard to exceed them, she has impressed both peers and instructors alike with her integrity, kindness, and strong work ethic.
Her compassion—especially toward children—underscores her future as a remarkable educator. She has earned every certification available to her, volunteered her time with student organizations, and made the most of every opportunity to explore her career path in education.
Sienna Gristina, a student in the Entrepreneurship program, has been named the 2025 PM Student of the Year. Sienna has consistently demonstrated the core values of Southwest Tech through her positivity, generosity, and leadership. Whether volunteering for after-hours events or ensuring operations at The Corner were handled with care, she approached every task with enthusiasm and responsibility.
Sienna’s impact goes far beyond her contributions to the program. She leads by example through quiet compassion, lifts up her peers, and makes every environment she enters more welcoming and inclusive. Her genuine spirit and unwavering dedication make her a role model for others.
“We are incredibly proud of Harley and Sienna,” said Southwest Tech COO Ericka Wiginton. “They represent the very best of Southwest Tech—students who lead with integrity, show up with heart, and inspire everyone around them.”
