Preparing Future Healthcare and Science Professionals

Southwest Technology Center’s BioMedical Science program offers a rigorous, hands-on learning experience designed for students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare, medical research, and advanced sciences. Through a challenging, university-prep curriculum, students gain early exposure to the skills, knowledge, and problem-solving techniques required in today’s medical and scientific fields.

The program follows the nationally recognized Project Lead The Way (PLTW) BioMedical Science curriculum, which emphasizes real-world application, critical thinking, and inquiry-based learning. Students explore human body systems, medical interventions, disease processes, and biomedical innovation through hands-on labs, research projects, and case studies that mirror real medical scenarios.
