Southwest Technology Center proudly recognized new members of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during induction ceremonies held February 18. Family members, sending schools, faculty, and returning NTHS members gathered to celebrate students who have demonstrated excellence in career and technical education.
Career Guidance Counselor and NTHS Advisor Kimberly Allen welcomed guests and expressed appreciation to families, partner schools, and instructors for their support of student success. She also recognized returning members and shared the purpose of NTHS: to reward achievement in workforce education while building pride, responsibility, and a commitment to continued growth.
Induction into the National Technical Honor Society is one of the highest honors awarded to Southwest Tech students. Candidates must be nominated by their instructor, maintain at least a 3.5 GPA in their career program, and consistently demonstrate dependability, worthy character, commendable attitude, and credible achievement.
