Kolsey Miller

Southwest Technology Center (SWTC) is proud to recognize Kolsey Miller, a first-year Metal Fabrication student, for earning first place in both Job Interview and Customer Service at the SkillsUSA Southwest District Contest held February 18 at the Grady County Fairgrounds in Chickasha.

Miller will advance to the Oklahoma SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference, scheduled April 19–21 at the Cox Business Convention Center in Tulsa, where she will compete among the top career and technical education students in the state.

A junior at Epic High School, Miller is actively involved in leadership and service at Southwest Tech. She currently serves as Reporter for the SWTC Metal Fabrication SkillsUSA chapter and is a candidate for Oklahoma SkillsUSA state office this spring. In addition, she is a Southwest Tech Student Ambassador, a member of the National Technical Honor Society, and has been recognized as Student of the Quarter for her program.

“Kolsey represents the professionalism, leadership, and technical excellence we strive to develop in our students,” said her instructor. “Her success in both interview and customer service competitions reflects strong employability skills that are essential in today’s workforce.”

SkillsUSA is a national organization that empowers students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders, and responsible community members. Competitions evaluate both technical abilities and workplace readiness skills aligned with industry standards.

Southwest Technology Center congratulates Kolsey on her outstanding achievements and wishes her continued success as she prepares for state competition.
