Carol Walker

Southwest Technology Center is proud to recognize Carol Walker, Teacher Preparation Instructor, as the March Employee of the Month.

Walker is a dedicated educator and mentor teacher who plays an important role in preparing the next generation of educators through Southwest Tech’s Teacher Preparation program. Her commitment to both her students and colleagues has made her a valued member of the Southwest Tech faculty.

Known for her positive attitude and collaborative spirit, Walker is always willing to step in and help wherever needed. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the classroom and works diligently to ensure her students are well prepared for careers in education. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and strong classroom leadership, she models the professionalism and best practices that future teachers will carry into their own classrooms.

In addition to leading her program with excellence, Walker maintains strong relationships with students, community partners, and fellow staff members across the campus. Her commitment to supporting school improvement and helping others succeed reflects the teamwork and dedication that define the Southwest Tech culture.

“Carol’s passion for education and her willingness to support others make a lasting impact on our students and staff,” said Southwest Tech Superintendent Dale Latham. “She is a tremendous asset to our faculty and very deserving of this recognition.”

Walker was nominated by her peers for her leadership, mentorship, and commitment to excellence in the classroom.

She was recognized during a recent presentation and congratulated by Emily Worrell of Southwest Crop Insurance, sponsor of the Southwest Tech Employee of the Month program, along with Superintendent Dale Latham.
