This week, the spotlight at Southwest Tech Aviation "Hangar 33" shines on the Power Plant students as they enter their final two weeks before graduation, culminating in a tour of Altus AFB next week. Southwest Tech is grateful for the base's support of this annual event, particularly the efforts of Mr. Blake Pewo and Base Public Affairs in coordinating this inspirational day for the students. During the tour, they will witness all three assigned aircraft on the flight line during morning launches, getting a glimpse of the aircraft they aspire to maintain in the near future. Following a nice lunch at the dining facility, the students will visit the ISO docks to explore the inspection branch, a potential employment opportunity for many. The day will conclude with a tour of the Metal Fab Branch, led by Mr. John Hatchell, and a visit to the aircraft fuel cell maintenance hangar, where two former students currently work.
