We are proud to celebrate the success of our very first Entrepreneurship Market Day at Southwest Technology Center! This milestone event showcased the innovation, creativity, and hard work of our student entrepreneurs as they launched their businesses to the public.
Congratulations to our top student businesses:

🥈 2nd Place – Hook n Home by Katie Day
Many student booths completely sold out, reflecting both the strength of their business ideas and the incredible support from our community.
👏 A huge shoutout to Denny and Altus McDonald’s for generously sponsoring our Market Day prizes and supporting our students!
🏆 1st Place received a $100 gift card
🏆 2nd Place received a $50 gift card
🍔 In addition, every student contestant received a free meal, making the day even more special!

When you saw the awesome Signing Day shirts at Southwest Tech this year, you were seeing the work of one of our own.
THE Carlos Flores, a senior Graphic Design student, created the design for this year’s Signing Day event. His creativity and eye for today’s design trends helped give the event a fresh look that students were excited to wear and celebrate.
Carlos worked through the design process just like a professional designer, developing concepts, refining the layout, and producing a final design that represented Southwest Tech and the excitement of our incoming students.
Projects like this give Graphic Design students real world experience while showcasing the incredible talent right here on our campus.
