When you saw the awesome Signing Day shirts at Southwest Tech this year, you were seeing the work of one of our own.
THE Carlos Flores, a senior Graphic Design student, created the design for this year’s Signing Day event. His creativity and eye for today’s design trends helped give the event a fresh look that students were excited to wear and celebrate.
Carlos worked through the design process just like a professional designer, developing concepts, refining the layout, and producing a final design that represented Southwest Tech and the excitement of our incoming students.
Projects like this give Graphic Design students real world experience while showcasing the incredible talent right here on our campus.

Our first-year students worked on color & contrast by creating bold neon portraits and bringing them to life on sublimation t-shirts. The results were vibrant, eye-catching, and full of personality!
Meanwhile, our second-year student Mariah sublimated her awesome Skater Girl design onto a water bottle 🛹💧—turning her illustration into a functional piece of art.

Our Cosmetology students took on an “Out of the Box” Challenge where they were given a mystery bag of craft supplies and a random decade. Their mission was to create a unique hair design using those materials while bringing their decade to life.
