Career Tech teachers are just different. 💙

They are industry experts, mentors, and workforce leaders who bring real world experience into the classroom every single day. At Southwest Tech, our instructors are preparing students for careers through hands on learning, industry certifications, workforce training, and real life skills that matter long after graduation.

They don’t just teach lessons. They help build Oklahoma’s workforce and fuel the future of our communities. From aviation and healthcare to welding, automotive, cosmetology, business, construction and more, our faculty work tirelessly to prepare students for success in the workplace, in education, and in life.

This Teacher Appreciation Week, we celebrate our instructors who invest in students, encourage growth, and make a lasting impact every single day. Thank you for all you do for Southwest Tech and the future workforce of Southwest Oklahoma.

Also, a huge THANK YOU to Sonic in Altus for providing drinks for our faculty this week. We appreciate your support so much! ☀️🥤

🔥 From collecting dust… to getting the job DONE. 🔥 Our Southwest Technology Center Welding students took a scaffold that was just sitting there and turned it into a full-on, real-world work platform for our Aviation program. We didn’t start from scratch—we leveled it up. Adding rails, stairs, and support legs, this build now stands around 12+ feet tall and is built for safety, strength, and everyday use. And the best part? Students were earning certifications in the middle of this project, proving they’re not just learning—they’re doing real work, solving real problems, and gaining real experience. 💪 Took something unused and made it valuable 💪 Made it safer, stronger, and more useful 💪 Showing they can handle real-world projects right now This is what SWTC welding is about—hard work, skill, and turning ideas into something solid. We’re proud of this crew and everything they’re building. This is just the beginning. #SWTC #Welding #BuiltNotBought #SkilledTrades #HandsOnLearning #FutureBuilders #SkillsUSA #RealWorldSkills 🔥
