Aviation spotlight from last week: Spring break was a great opportunity for our Aviation Coordinator/instructor Joe Schmitt and Power Plant Instructor Mr Nick Odom to attend the 2024 ATEC (Aviation Technician Education Council) Conference. Both Nick and Joe gained a wealth of information ranging from aviation technical maintenance trends data, FAA insight concerning testing and regulations, and they made some important networking connections during their 3 days attending this conference in Tucson AZ. Both Nick and Joe appreciate the opportunity and support in attending this important function.

The next three Motorcycle Safety Basic Rider Course dates have been scheduled at Southwest Technology Center. Classes are Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $185. An online portion is required to complete before the class. The information is provided when enrollment is complete.

We are excited to announce that we are hosting Haley Hoover in a four-part series called “Empowered Odyssey: The Journey Within + Beyond”! 🤩
This series will lead participants through a transformative journey of self-discovery and creating more mindful success for themselves and their businesses from the inside out.
✨Haley’s work uses traditional lectures mixed with hands-on activities like breathing techniques, journaling and visualization, so participants will be able to experience a unique and interactive approach to creating and achieving their goals.
The first session will focus on “Redefining Success” and will be held on March 28.
April 23 will be about “Innovation Horizons”.
May 21st is about “Breaking Barriers”
June 11th is all about “Financial Empowerment”
All sessions are from 8-10am and will be held at the Southwest Technology Center located at 711 W. Tamarack in Altus, Oklahoma.

SWTC's future teachers are sharpening their skills on the campus University of Central Oklahoma today by attending the Prospective Teacher's Academy. They are attending workshops about college preparation, financial aid strategies, and coursework essentials, ensuring they are well-equipped to guide the next generation with knowledge and confidence.

Our POWER Program staff in collaboration with Oklahoma Human Services are here to help with your goals. The POWER Program will have Human Services staff at 10:00 AM on campus Thursday 03/07/2024 to help you apply for benefits, no appointment is necessary.
