Metal Fabrication had an In House Fabrication tournament last week. Students were given a blueprint drawing to be welded with SMAW 6010, 7108, and GMAW welds and a blueprint drawing to be cut out by oxy act torch. There were two classes in the tournament. High school student and the adult students. Congratulations to everyone! Metal Fabrication: Metal Fabrication is a course that allows you to learn the skills you need for welding, and you can earn certificates to become a welder. These courses are open to adults and high school students. If you are wanting to further your education, you could take the ED2GO courses Business or Construction and Trades to further your experience and education. The Business course can help you gain knowledge in owning your own business, and how to run it. Metal Fab students getting ready for their AWS D1.1 Welding Certifications on Wednesday May 10th, 17 students will be testing on either 1G (flat), 2G (horizontal), 3G (vertical) or 4G (overhead).
